Description
Soft and luxurious merino and silk fibre wrapped around a core thread, plied with Italian silk thread. This is corespun hand spun yarn at its most indulgent. The yarn is soft and lofty with lots of lovely texture. It is perfect for adding interest to garments as an accent for collar, cuff or pocket top. Use on its own for hats, scarves, mittens and other accessories. I like to add it to my weaving to create areas of extra interest within the cloth.
As with my other yarns I have aimed to design something that means that even the beginner knitter can just cast on and knit, plain old knit stitch will do, to create something exciting and funky. Try 9 or 10mm needles and keep an eye on my Free Patterns page for straightforward ideas of what to knit with this yarn.
This Parma Violets colourway is part of my Sweetie Collection that is inspired by the sweeties of my childhood. The colours are a blend of bluey purples with a shot of white silk, plied with a lilac Italian silk thread.
Available in eight repeatable colourways.
Cool, gentle, hand wash only. Squeeze and roll in a towel to absorb extra water. Dry flat. Do not tumble dry, not even for a moment!
