Welcome to the online home of Araminta Greaves Fibreista. I hope you have a moment to take a look through my Gallery page for pictures of my funky fibres, wearable art, wet felt pictures and needlefelt creations.
The real world home of Araminta Greaves Fibreista is my Spinnery in the garden of Misty Cottage at the foot of Roughtor on the edge of Bodmin Moor in North Cornwall. Here I have a wonderful time working with natural fibres through dyeing, spinning, weaving and felting. I draw inspiration from the heady mix of beautiful moorland, rugged Cornish coast and of course, my imagination. Some of the fibre I use is sourced locally and I also try to make use of mill ends from local fibre mills. This means that I get to use beautiful, high quality fibres that would otherwise go to waste.
Through Araminta Greaves Fibreista I am aiming to bring an exciting, funky, modern feel to traditional fibre arts and crafts not only through my own creations but also by producing beautiful fibres and unique handspun yarns for other spinners, weavers, felters and knitters.
