Description

This is a very special one of a kind hand dyed, hand spun and hand woven silk scarf. A truly artisan product, this is slow cloth, the antithesis of fast fashion. In beautiful oil slick shades of teals, blues and deep pinks the hand dyed, hand spun silk weft is woven on a black cotton warp. Hand spun merino yarn in my Evening Heather colourway, plied with pink metallic thread and tiny glass beads provides textural interest while keeping the feel very soft and comforting.

I have woven this scarf on my lovely Saori loom and have finished it with hemstitching and twisted tassels.

The scarf measures 25cm x 196cm plus fringe.

This hand woven silk scarf should be gently handwashed in cool water. After washing, squeeze, don’t wring, roll the scarf up in a towel to get the extra moisture out and then layout to dry. It can be carefully ironed but avoid ironing over the glass beads.
