‘Curl Around Me Like a Fern in the Spring’ is a high quality, Limited Edition Giclee print taken from an original felt panel by Araminta Greaves Fibreista.
I was inspired to felt this piece when listening to ‘Solid Air’ an album by the wonderful musician John Martyn. Using both wet and needle felting techniques to make the highly textured original panel, I included my own handspun yarns and decorative stitching to depict ferns unfurling in the spring. Letter beads spell out the beautiful lyric ‘Curl around me like a fern in the spring.’
